Vesta Projects

Vesta is currently involved in the planning and the execution of a series of projects aimed at completely transforming the horizon of secondary and tertiary healthcare delivery systems in Nigeria and the Caribbean. When operational, these Public and Private-Sector projects would herald the arrival of healthcare delivery facilities to world-class standards, which till now has only been available in high-resource and income economies.

Nigerian Army and Nigerian Army Medical Corps (Army-Vesta Bridge Programme)

One recent engagement is with the Nigerian Army Medical Corps (NAMC) in a partnership project: The Army-Vesta Bridge Programme (AVBP). This is a five-year programme which involves Vesta providing leadership to completely transform the capability and capacity of the NAMC. As part of the programme, we developed a novel concept of an "Acute Care Centre" which has been designed for construction at 68 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Yaba and 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Kaduna. Both Acute Care Centres would be designed, built and operated by a separate corporate entity on behalf of the Army.

Sonvest Medical Limited

Vesta Healthcare Partners Nigeria Limited, Songhai Medical Centre Limited and other investors are working closely together in a Joint Venture to deliver a private modern and functional Emergency Healthcare facility located in Abuja, Nigeria.

It is anticipated that the proposed clinical facility would be financed by the private-sector through equity group participation and using Project Finance from private investors, local and international banks and Private Equity Houses. To this end, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) incorporated as Sonvest Medical Limited would design, build and operate the asset. This SPV has been set up by investors in the project, who include Vesta Healthcare Partners Nigeria Limited, Songhai Medical Centre Limited and other local and international investors.
