Professor Eyitayo Lambo BSc MSc PhD is Africa's foremost Health Economist and was the Honourable Minister of Health for the Federal Republic of Nigeria between 2003 and 2007. Professor Lambo's expertise is highly sought after worldwide and especially in understanding and resolving the issues within the health care sector in Nigeria and other low-medium income countries.
Professor Eyitayo Lambo studied at the University of Rochester USA, Lancaster University United Kingdom and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He was elected a Fellow in Operations Research (United Kingdom).
Other international positions which Professor Lambo has held include: Member, Steering Committee of Leaders of Health (IFC, Washington), Former Director of the Change Agent for Health Sector Reform Program (DFID UK &Federal Government of Nigeria) and Former Adviser on Health Sector Reforms to the World Health Organization (WHO-AFRO) Regional Office. Professor Lambo was also formerly a Professor of Healthcare Economics at the Universities of Ilorin and Bendel State. |
